Biography

Burklerk Pinsinchai, born Sakorn Yindeechat, began his illustrious Muay Thai career at the age of 12 when he joined the renowned Pinsinchai Camp in Bangkok. Known for his technical skill and strategic approach, Burklerk quickly rose through the ranks, capturing his first Thailand title in 1983. By 1987, he had established himself as one of the premier fighters in Thailand, holding two Thailand titles and the prestigious Lumpinee Stadium 112 lbs championship.

Despite a setback in 1987 when he lost his Lumpinee title and took a break to recover from a chronic stomach disease, Burklerk made a triumphant return to the ring in 1991. He quickly regained his elite status, reaching the final of the annual Isuzu Cup, although he narrowly lost to Lakhin Wassandasit. Throughout his career, Burklerk was known for his ability to control the pace of a fight and his exceptional use of space, hallmarks of the Muay Femur style.

After retiring from active competition in his early 30s, Burklerk transitioned to teaching, sharing his deep knowledge and passion for Muay Thai. He established the Burklerk Muay Thai Gym in Chiang Mai, where he continues to train and inspire the next generation of fighters. His dedication to the art of Muay Thai and his contributions as a teacher have cemented his legacy in the sport.
