Biography

Mongkon Suknongbwa, professionally known as Yodkhunpon Sittraiphum, was born on May 4, 1968, in Suwannaphum, Thailand. He began his Muay Thai training at the age of twelve at the Sitraipum camp in Roi Et Province, where he trained under the guidance of Thongpon Kwamsawat. Despite the rudimentary training conditions, Yodkhunpon quickly rose through the ranks due to his dedication and natural talent.

Yodkhunpon gained fame in the 1990s, earning the nickname "Elbow Hunter of 100 Stitches" for his aggressive and effective use of elbows, a technique that made him one of the most feared fighters in the ring. Competing primarily in the Flyweight and Bantamweight divisions, he achieved significant success, becoming a champion at both the Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Stadiums, two of the most prestigious venues in Muay Thai.

After retiring from professional fighting in 1995, Yodkhunpon moved to Pattaya, where he transitioned into a coaching role. He has since been involved in training the next generation of fighters at various camps, including the Petchrungruang gym, sharing his extensive knowledge and experience in Muay Thai.
