Chamuakpet Hapalang, born Vichean Bootdee, is celebrated as one of the greatest Muay Thai fighters of all time. His career spanned over two decades, during which he became known for his exceptional knee strikes, earning him the nickname "Mr. Computer Knee." Training out of the famed Hapalang Gym, Chamuakpet was a versatile fighter who excelled in various weight classes, capturing multiple titles at both the Lumpinee and Rajadamnern stadiums.

At just 18 years old, Chamuakpet made a significant impact by defeating Samart Payakaroon to win the Lumpinee Pinweight Championship, a victory that marked the beginning of his illustrious career. Throughout the 1980s, he continued to dominate the Muay Thai scene, capturing a total of nine prestigious belts across different weight divisions. His ability to adapt his fighting style and maintain his dominance over a long career earned him legendary status in the sport.

Chamuakpet's career was marked by notable victories over some of the biggest names in Muay Thai, including multiple wins against Sangtiennoi Sor Rungroj and a title-winning knockout against Chaidet Kiatcharnsing. His technical prowess and relentless fighting spirit made him a formidable opponent in the ring, and his achievements were recognized with the prestigious Fighter of the Year award in 1985.

Chamuakpet Hapalang has been living in Japan for over 20 years, where he teaches Muay Thai. He occasionally returns to Thailand but is primarily based in Tokyo for training and teaching purposes.
