Panomrung Sitchanthong, born Wirapon Karnthang, began his Muay Thai journey at the age of 15, inspired by a friend. He trained at the renowned Nongkee Pahuyuth gym, where he honed his skills alongside other legendary fighters such as Namkabuan Nongkeepahuyuth and Therdkiat Sitthepitak. His dedication and talent quickly propelled him into the spotlight during the Golden Era of Muay Thai.

Throughout his career, Panomrung faced and defeated many notable fighters, including Neungubon Sitlerchai, Karuhat Sor Supawan, and Lamnamoon Sor Sumalee. His fighting style was characterized by excellent timing and fast, powerful punches, earning him the nickname "The Tornado Kid."
