Ramon Dekkers was born on September 4, 1969, in Breda, Netherlands. He began his professional fighting career in 1986 and quickly became known for his aggressive and fast-paced fighting style, earning him the nickname "The Turbine from Hell." Dekkers was a trailblazer for Western fighters in Muay Thai, often competing in Thailand against top Thai fighters, a rare feat for non-Thai athletes at the time.

Throughout his career, Dekkers amassed an impressive record of 186 wins, including 95 by knockout, against 35 losses and 2 draws. He was a fan favorite due to his willingness to engage in brutal exchanges and his ability to deliver spectacular knockouts.
