Biography

Poot Lorlek, born Taweesak Pipatkul, emerged as a prominent figure in the Muay Thai scene during the 1970s. His career was marked by his technical skill and strategic approach in the ring, earning him the nickname "Angel Boxer." Poot Lorlek's mastery of timing and tactics made him a formidable opponent, and he quickly rose to fame as a Lumpinee Stadium Super Bantamweight Champion.

In addition to his success in Muay Thai, Poot Lorlek also ventured into professional boxing, where he maintained an undefeated record of 8 wins, including 3 by knockout. His ability to transition between Muay Thai and boxing showcased his versatility and skill as a fighter.

After retiring from active competition, Poot Lorlek dedicated himself to training the next generation of fighters. In 2011, he opened the Muay Thai Gym Poot Lorlek in Trang Province, where he shared his knowledge and passion for the sport. Poot Lorlek passed away on June 1, 2020, at the age of 68, leaving behind a legacy as one of Muay Thai's greatest champions.
