Somrak Khamsing, born on January 16, 1973, in Non Sombun, Ban Phai District, Thailand, is a revered figure in both Muay Thai and boxing. Known for his unparalleled footwork and defensive prowess, Somrak's career spanned nearly three decades, during which he became a household name in combat sports. His journey began at a young age, training at the Narong Gym alongside his brother and under the tutelage of Kru Narong. This gym also produced other legends, including Saenchai.

Somrak's Muay Thai career is marked by his ability to outthink opponents, earning him the nickname "Genius of the Ring." He boasts a record of 291 wins, although he claims to have over 300 victories due to many undocumented matches from his youth. One of his most cherished victories was against Chamuekpet Hapalang, a fighter renowned for holding nine world titles. Somrak's adaptability and showmanship in the ring made him a fan favorite and a formidable opponent.

In addition to his Muay Thai success, Somrak achieved international fame by becoming the first Thai athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing at the 1996 Atlanta Games.
