Veeraphol Sahaprom, born Theeraphol Samranklang on November 12, 1968, in Korat, Thailand, is a legendary figure in both Muay Thai and professional boxing. Before transitioning to boxing, Sahaprom had an extensive career in Muay Thai, amassing around 180 fights with a record of 150 wins, 30 losses, and 30 knockouts. He was a three-time Rajdamnern Stadium champion, showcasing his prowess in the traditional Thai martial art.

In 1994, Sahaprom made the switch to professional boxing, quickly rising through the ranks. On September 17, 1995, in just his fourth professional fight, he captured the WBA bantamweight title by defeating Daorung Chuvatana via a 12-round split decision. This victory marked the beginning of a successful boxing career where he became known for his powerful punches and strategic fighting style.

Sahaprom's boxing career spanned over a decade and a half, during which he compiled an impressive record of 66 wins, 4 losses, and 3 draws, with 47 of his victories coming by way of knockout. His most notable fights include a series of bouts against Toshiaki Nishioka, which were highly regarded in the boxing community. Sahaprom retired in 2010 after a second-round TKO victory over Vicky Tahumil, ending his career on a six-fight winning streak.
